Questions.
01Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Photos (JPG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP, GIF, TIFF, AVIF) are compressed inside your browser using your own device. The file never leaves it. PDFs and Office documents need our server; we tell you before that happens, process them in memory only, never store or log them, and delete the data as soon as your download is ready.
02How does exact-size compression work?
You say 'about 200 KB' or 'between 100 and 200 KB'. Portalize searches for the highest quality that still fits, using a fast binary search, and only reduces resolution if quality alone cannot reach the size. For minimum sizes it adds harmless padding.
03Will the photo still be accepted by the portal?
Presets are set to the commonly published rules, and the rejection checker compares your file to them. Portals change their rules, so always verify with the official site before you submit.
04Why can't my PDF get smaller?
A PDF with only text is already compact, so there is nothing to shrink. We tell you the smallest size we can reach. PDFs with photos or scans shrink a lot.
05What does it cost?
The free plan covers everyday use with a daily limit. Pro adds bigger files and large batches. Payments are not switched on yet.
06Can I use it from my own app?
