Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026. This is a plain-language policy for the Portalize service. Have it reviewed by a lawyer before you launch commercially.

The short version

• Photos are compressed in your browser and are never uploaded.
• PDFs, Office files, EPUB and text files are also compressed inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
• We do not store your files, and we do not write file contents or file names to logs.

What happens if a file is sent to our server

• It is read into memory, processed, returned to you, and discarded. It is never written to disk.
• Only the optional passport face-crop tool needs the server, and only when you switch it on.
• Files are checked by content and size, and unsafe archives are rejected.

What we do keep

• A temporary counter per IP address or API key in memory, used only for rate limits and daily quotas.
• Standard operational logs without file contents or names, for example error types and response codes.
• Your language, theme and daily usage count are stored in your own browser (local storage). We do not receive them.

Cookies and tracking

Portalize does not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

Your rights

Because we do not keep your files or build profiles, there is nothing to export or delete. Contact us if you have questions.
